Today marks such a special day! The birth of my blog.  My hope is to compile my favorite recipes, tips, and tricks all in one encompassing place.  Something I can cherish, document experiences, and pass along to all the people that succeed me.  What’s beautiful about a blog, is that it can help not just those around me, but whoever finds it helpful or interesting to them.  And maybe, just maybe, they will take away something from this little piece of the internet that I call… Farmhouse on the Moon.

Oh, and I already know the first question you have.  What exactly inspired the name “Farmhouse on the Moon”. Well, first of all, no; we don’t live on the moon. I know I had you fooled there for a moment. The inspiration comes from the road our beautiful farmhouse was built on, Moon Ln. Building our dream farmhouse was incredible, challenging, and such a blessing for our family. There are still many more projects left on the to do list that I’m so excited to share with you all.

Some things to know about our family would be that we worship and praise the Lord for the lives we’ve been given and the blessings of this life. We teach our children who created us and we find it so important for them to learn of his love through spending lots of quality time with family, working hard, and learning as much as we possibly can together. We have five children… and counting. We love big families around here! We focus on living a simple (not to be confused with easy) life.
